Every day at The Hellenic is about making life as comfortable and home-like as possible. We work hard to accommodate individual preferences and lifestyles.

Searching for a nursing home for your loved one can be a daunting task, causing you to wonder how you can pick the right place to provide the care you expect. We understand and would like to help.

Every day at The Hellenic is about making life as comfortable and home-like as possible. We work hard to accommodate individual preferences and lifestyles. We appreciate that residents may begin their days at different times, have their breakfast when they are ready, bathe when they wish, and choose to participate in daily group activities one day or pursue an independent interest in another.

The Hellenic offers a comforting environment with outdoor patios and walking grounds, an indoor solarium, as well as a religious chapel.

Our Units are staffed by professional nurses and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) at all times. We also encourage and support our team of caregivers to develop their skills. Advanced certifications in wound care, rehabilitation, dementia and memory loss care, infection prevention, and others are pursued by our staff. Consequently, our residents receive lots of attention so that medical problems are discovered early and addressed immediately.

Each resident is assigned a primary CNA who, through daily contact, develops an in-depth understanding of a resident’s background, medical history, personality, and other factors that could influence their care. A nurse practitioner sees residents on a regular basis. She is certified to order medications, tests, and treatments, and works closely with The Hellenic’s Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Physician Geriatric Specialists.

In addition, many conditions can be treated without hospitalization, thanks to a unique Medicare insurance program and excellent in-house medical capabilities. Following an illness or skilled rehabilitation, a restorative exercise and therapy program ensures that residents maintain the highest possible level of functioning.
